I have used this on my 20 month old biracial low porosity (water resistant) daughters hair maybe 3 times a week for the past 6 to 7 months consistently. Its important to know your hair type to determine how often or how much to use/apply to hair, because what works for my daughter doesn't work for me. When I first started using this my baby's hair was very thin all around her edges and was balding in the back. I didn't see an instant result but after the second week I noticed her bald spots filling in by the end of the second week. Their isn't directions on how to use on bottle so someone who doesn't know about hair types could possibly think this product doesn't work and move on, after shampooing and conditioning or just cowashing, I like to apply on damp hair, I only apply this to the scalp when it's warm, I put the bottle in a hot cup of water till it's warm and apply it to the scalp and massage it in, avoid putting a generous amount you just need a little, once Ive put it on her entire scalp I will massage it for as long as she will let me maybe 45 seconds to a minute but the goal is two minutes. Ig part her hair into two halfs and give her two braids and I put a bonnet on her, hiwhile she sleeps on a silk pillowcase in case the bonnet comes off. I would recommend to anyone looking to promote hair growth on a budget as it is affordable and I believe all natural my kids have got this on their skin and even in their mouth and it's been harmless, and does not stain on clothes or couch, I'm not a fan of the minty smell but that's just me. Overall I would recommend this to anyone promoting hair growth.
